A pattern I've noticed

People can be rather unreasonable when participating in stuff online rather than in real life

Stages of Online dating

1. Adoration based on little information and visual context, excessive compliments, total statements

2. Complete devotion after building up a fantasy to fit ones needs

3. Disappointment because reality fails to deliver a willing and capable match

4. Spiteful, obnoxious comments aimed to undo previous praise and determination of relationship

Fictional Example based on 10 years of online correspondence experience

1. Male says things like "you are perfect, you are so beautiful, we should meet, I'd love to get to know you better, can you send me another photo"...

2.When meeting or talking further plural nouns such as "we" or "us" are used prematurely. The male often moves too fast prematurely because he thinks that the couple knows each other sufficiently.

3. Either rejection, or thought rejection, sometimes the fear of rejection is enough to move the male to stage four. Minor occurrences such as stating that one is busy doing something else is taken as very offensive and dismissing behavior.

4. the male dismisses the female, but continues to initiate further contact using total statements that aim to be hurtful and assigning an inferior  status to the female. Such as your a C***, your ugly anyways, you are a bitch, I hope you die, etc

Very interesting how humans work in the online world, protected by the animosity of the PC, remember so, there is real people here, behind the screen, on the other side.

I hope that the future holds a brighter outlook for the usage of the internet for humanity. It would be sad if this incredible tool was only used to displace internalized self hate and anger.
